Staffing Committee September 2024 Draft Minutes
POINTON & SEMPRINGHAM PARISH COUNCIL STAFFING COMMITTEE MEETING
to be held on Tuesday 24th September 2024 at 7.00pm in St Gilbert Primary School
Councillors Present: Cllrs Christie, Clarke (7.15pm onwards) and Green. Also in attendance R.Boden (clerk)
AGENDA
SC24001. To elect the Chairman of the Staffing Committee. Cllr Green proposed Cllr Christie for Staffing Committee Chair. It was seconded by Cllr Christie. It was resolved for Cllr Christie to be Staffing Committee Chair.
SC24002. To receive and accept apologies for absence. No apologies had been received
SC24003. To receive Declarations of Pecuniary Interest. No Declarations of Pecuniary Interest were received.
SC24004. To approve the minutes of the meeting held on the 1st November 2023 and for the chair to sign. It was resolved to approve the minutes of the meeting held on the 1st November 2024 and for the chair to sign.
Cllr Clarke entered the meeting at 7.15pm
Items of confidential nature to be debated in the absence of the press and public. Under the Public Bodies (Admission to the Meetings) Act 1960 (due to the confidential nature of the business).
SC24005.Cllr Christie proposed that the staffing committee enter closed session due to the confidential nature of the business. It was seconded by Cllr Green. It was resolved for the staffing committee to enter closed session.
SC24006. To consider and approve the clerk’s appraisal held on the 10th July 2024. It was resolved that the clerk is to remain on scale 17 at the present time. Up to 10 hrs a month will be added to the hrs for work that will be required over the Pavilion.
CiLCA fees will be paid for the course and 150 hrs for training.
SC24007. To confirm the appointment of the lengthsman / litter picker. The lengthsman/ litter picker has started with the Council. They are contracted for 10 hrs a month and will be completing a manual handling course. Contracts and risk assessments are in place.
The meeting closed at 7.25pm
