  1. Apologies for absence – None received.

  1. Pointon Pavillion - Update

Cllr Wesley had called meeting as he was made aware that ******* from Old Ship Inn was made Insolvent on 24th August 2021.

Cllr Freeman interrupted – GDPR not able to mention names at a public meeting.

Cllr Wesley – will carry on – checked on Companies House.

Cllr Freeman – who made you aware?

Cllr Wesley – checked on Companies House myself – need to know where Parish Council stands!    Any member of the public can access information from Companies House.  On obtaining this information I contacted Chatterton Solicitors via email about lease, they were not aware building had been condemned when wrote lease!  I duly forwarded emails to all Cllrs from both James and Michelle at Chattertons prior to our meeting this evening.

Noted some residents at this point left the meeting – Clerk felt due to the behavior of some of the Cllrs shouting at one another.

Cllr Greenwood – where do you want to go with this?

Trying to bring down Pavillion.

Where information came from i.e. Chattertons – suggesting what is legal and what is not.

Cllr Greenwood - the lease is legal – answer question – Cllr Wesley – to make sure as a Parish Council – acting in a legal manner.  Should not have let until been put in a fit state.  Why don’t we ask them to put right?

Car Parking/Lighting/Road markings – give lease to Aliro and let them get on with it – if look at legalities should never have been let – Parish Council acted illegally.

Cllr Wesley – I think Pavillion should be closed down and done properly.  Parish Council should have made sure all works (building and all electrics done) not let to a tenant to do the works.  Moving forward Cllr Wesley not happy if something goes wrong and the Parish Council are not acting correctly.

Cllr Green – at this point obtained connection to Companies House – confirmed Dissolved 24th August 2021 – Cllr Freeman asked to see for herself.

Cllr Ramm – Due diligence – Everything at the Pavillion is working correctly.

Cllr Freeman – how many Cllrs knew about this tonight?  This meeting should be dissolved – it is a sham – not acceptable, turning up to big surprises etc.  Reported to Monitoring Officer, not acceptable.  Dissolve meeting until can be conducted properly until then Parish Council never going to get anywhere.  What we communicate is not transparent, do not know what is coming up at meetings – cannot discuss under headings not operating correctly (Standing Orders).

Cllr Wesley terminated the meeting at 7.55 p.m.
