POINTON & SEMPRINGHAM PARISH COUNCIL MEETING

Notice of the Parish Council Meeting to be held on Thursday 21st October 2021 at Pointon School commencing at 7.30 p.m.

All Councillors are hereby summoned to attend at the above time.

The business to be dealt with at the meeting is listed in this Agenda.

AGENDA

1. The Chairman will invite questions from the public prior to opening the meeting (15 minutes allocated)

2. Receive apologies for absence and reasons given

3. Declarations of interest

4. Receive reports from Outside Bodies, the Clerk and Councillors including any matters relating to

  • County
  • District
  • Playing Field
  • Police
  • Village Hall
  • Parish Council – Request to attend the LALC Training Course “Council procedures and meetings” The course will cover the basics of council activities including the following: related legislation: powers and duties - what a council may or must do, how to set an agenda, prepare for and run a meeting, and what happens afterwards including preparation of draft minutes, Standing orders, financial regulations, publication schemes and policies.  Obviously the course itself will go into far more detail on these and other topics but this gives an outline.  This is a 6 hour course, taught over two evenings or a full day. The November date will be a full day in North Kyme. It's included in the Annual Training Scheme for subscribing councils, otherwise £45 plus VAT per participant plus additional cost for lunch. 

5. Minutes of meetings held on 15th July 2021 and 31st August 2021 - to approve as a true and accurate account

  • New Applications/Decisions received and circulated since last meeting.

7. Finance

  • To complete FORM for new signatory
  • Electricity Invoices (ALIRO)

10. Traffic Calming for Pointon and Millthorpe cross roads

  • To discuss response received from Road Safety Partnership
