March 2026 Staffing Committee Draft Minutes
DRAFT MINUTES OF POINTON & SEMPRINGHAM PARISH COUNCIL STAFFING COMMITTEE MEETING
held on Tuesday 17th March 2026 at 7.30pm in St Gilbert Primary School
Cllrs present: Cllr Ross (Chair), Clarke and Keeley.
Present: R Boden (clerk)
SC26001. To elect a Chair of the Staffing Committee and sign the Declaration of Acceptance of Office. Cllr Keeley proposed Cllr Ross and this was seconded by Cllr Clarke. Cllr Ross was elected as Chair of the Staffing Committee and signed the declaration,
SC26002. To receive Declarations of Pecuniary or Non-Pecuniary Interest. No declarations were received
SC26003. To receive and accept Apologies for Absence. All Cllrs were present,
SC6004. To approve the clerk’s notes for the meeting held on the 6th May 2025 and for the chair to sign. It was resolved to accept the clerk’s notes for the meeting held on the 6th March 2025.
CLOSED COUNCIL SESSION
Cllr Keeley proposed to go in to closed session. This was seconded by Cllr Clarke.
SC26005. Items of confidential nature to be debated in the absence of the press and public. Under the Public Bodies (Admission to the Meetings) Act 1960 (due to the confidential nature of the business).
- Staffing Issues: To consider and approve staff wages. It was discussed and resolved to approve the staff wages..As the Litter Picker will be moving on to university later in the year it was decided that an advert for her replacement would be posted from July.
- Staffing Issues: To consider the safety of staff members. Staffing issues were discussed and a lone worked policy will be written and adopted. Steps regarding safety of the staff were put in place.
- Staffing Issues: To discuss pension options. Pension options will be reviewed and if the needed the council will give help.
