MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL PARISH MEETING OF POINTON AND SEMPRINGHAM PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON THURSDAY, 19 MAY 2022 at 7.30pm IN St GILBERT’S SCHOOL, POINTON
PARISH COUNCILLORS PRESENT: Dean Wesley (Chair), Robert Clarke, Chris Green, Corrine Ramm, Joyce Taylor and Georgina Freeman
ALSO IN ATTENDANCE: Susan McArd (to minute the meeting) and 4 members of the public
It was noted that the meeting was videoed
1. WELCOME FROM THE CHAIRMAN
Cllr Wesley welcomed fellow councillors and parishioners to the meeting.
2. TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE LAST ANNUAL PARISH MEETING, 26 MAY 2021
The minutes of the last annual parish meeting held on 26 May 2021 were approved as a true record of the proceedings.
3. CHAIRMAN’S ANNUAL REPORT
Cllr Wesley gave his report: -
4. TO RECEIVE REPORTS FROM POLICE, COUNTY AND DISTRICT COUNCIL
There were no reports from outside bodies.
A report was received from the Village Hall committee: -
6. QUESTIONS AND PROPOSALS FROM THE PUBLIC
Q. At the last Annual Meeting the Parish Council was asked for further information relating to the SKDC Covid grant paid to the Sports and Social Club.
A. Cllr Greenwood would need to be consulted for the details of this. It was confirmed that the Parish Council owns the pavilion building and this was leased to the Sports and Social Club. The Sports and Social Club had applied for the Covid grant and the payment was made to the club, shortly afterwards the club had been dissolved. Any assets belonging to the club should have been distributed as detailed in their constitution.
The meeting closed at 7.52pm.
